Retrace runs on energy generated and managed as per our ReJoule initiative, which is focused on energy positivity, conservation, and sustainable generation and use. The reasons for our focus on this are:

Every roof is a valuable source of energy
The roof of every home (392.09 sqm) and the vast Clubhouse (2050 sqm) is an opportunity for harnessing the sun. Made of wooden and solar shingles, these roofs are connected to the grid — making every home a cog in our sustainable energy machine. Solar panels are also integrated into street furniture and urban amenities, scattering our energy generation capabilities and creating multipurpose and aesthetic ways to generate clean energy.

It tracks and visualises every villanova’s energy data and consumption to help residents track their usage and carbon impact, and reduce consumption by 5–15%.
The meter would motivate its users to meet energy conservation goals through a challenge-and-reward system.
Dark skies, bright possibilities.
Among these modular components is a revolutionary streetlight designed to be Dark Sky Compliant — an important innovation to curtail light pollution and prevent energy wastage in one fell swoop.
Dark Sky lighting is designed to direct light to the ground, not up into the sky where it can contribute to light pollution. The streetlights at Retrace prioritise safety by reducing glare and minimising excessive brightness, ensuring optimal visibility without discomfort.
